On February 5 the winning stories and honorable mentions of the Mama na Mtoto and Writers’ Guild Alberta Flash Writing Contest were celebrated at the Central Library downtown Calgary. The audience had an opportunity to hear the stories read by the authors who were able to attend. Although each story is unique, they are joined by the common theme of the complexity of motherhood across the globe.
